What fave.rocks is.
One place where live music tells people about itself — so nobody misses a night out, and nobody spends their life retyping gig listings.
The idea.
Every working artist and every venue already keeps a calendar. It has to be right — it's how they run their week. But the public version of that calendar lives everywhere else: a website that needs updating, social posts that a handful of people see, listings sites that go stale the moment plans change.
fave.rocks flips that round. Connect the calendar you already keep — once — and it becomes your public what's-on. Your gigs and events appear on your profile, in local listings, on the map, and on your own website through an embeddable widget. Change a date in your calendar and it changes everywhere. No double entry, ever.
Three doors in.
Fans.
Fave the artists and venues you love. When they've got something on near you, you hear about it — no algorithm deciding whether you deserve to know.
Artists.
Connect your calendar and every gig advertises itself — profile, listings, map, and a widget for your own site. You play; the admin does itself.
Venues.
Everything you host, listed automatically — gigs, open mics, quiz nights, brunches. Everyone who faves your room hears about all of it.
The calendar promise.
Connect once, and everything stays up to date. That's the whole promise. We read the calendar link you give us, keep your listings in sync with it, and never ask you to type the same gig in twice. Cancel something in your calendar and it comes off the site. Add something and it goes up. That's it.
It's free to join — fans, artists and venues alike. We're in early access, building it out in the open with the people who use it.
Built by a working musician.
fave.rocks is built by Aaron Norton, an acoustic musician playing more than three hundred gigs a year around Surrey and Berkshire. After years of watching good nights go under-attended because telling people about them was harder than playing them, he built the thing he needed — and this is it. It's made by someone who loads the PA in the rain, not by a marketing department.
Come on in.
Whether you play the gigs, host them, or just never want to miss one again — there's a door for you.
